Vandoren Launches V16 Tenor Sax Mouthpiece

Vandoren Launches V16 Tenor Sax Mouthpiece
Vandoren is shipping their new V16 hard rubber tenor sax mouthpiece, which comes in three facings and is an extension of the successful V16 line that includes soprano and alto sax mouthpieces.

The new V16 tenor sax mouthpiece is the culmination of a full year of research in the United States with players from all over the county. "We tried to capture that rich sound so popular in the 1950s and 1960s," says Jim Metz, DANSR marketing manager. "With the results from our tests, the designers at Vandoren were able to come up with a pretty incredible mouthpiece. It's rich and warm with enough power to push over trumpets and rhythm sections. We think this is truly the next jazz standard."

The three facings (7, 8, and 9) provide ample variety for players to find a V16 that matches their requirements.
